Did Ya Know Allie Is Here?

There is nothing better than your bestie in Europe.

After a small panic when Allie's plane decided to land in Pisa, we greeted her with open arms and pizza. I literally waited by my open window hoping she would show up via taxi. SHE DID. I yelled to her from the 4th floor very romantically and we lugged her stuff up the stairs.

She made it!

So we hit Gusta Pizza hard.

The next morning we did what we do best: coffee.

And then in the afternoon... WE DID IT AGAIN

If you're ever in Florence, I would highly recommend checking out La Terrazza, a cafe on top of La Rinascente (there is a little, non-sketchy staircase in the corner of the top floor). It overlooks Piazza della Republica on one side, and the beautiful mountains, duomo, etc. on the other.

I don't even get coffee that much here (even though it's delicous) in the efforts of saving money, but no regrets because two-a-days with Allie are the most joyous of occations.

The next day I showed her our next favorite thing: gelato.

Plus, the best place to eat it: the pillars of the Ponte Vecchio.

I told you we were going to do it and we did. Definitely the best view for a snack or meal or lifetime of lounging.

I don't know if it's fitting or funny that we'll spend more time together in Europe than we would in a normal semester in Kansas, but we'll more than embrace it.
