Easter?

Our Easter was a 5 day weekend and excuse to sit around a lot both inside and outside. Most study abroad students and Florentine citizens leave over Easter weekend, but after Spring Broke we decided we should probably just stay here.

The only traditional thing we did was buy a colomba, a traditional Easter cake in Italy. It was pretty gross and the three of us vowed to eat the whole thing and we couldn't even do that and IT WAS CAKE so clearly I wasn't lying. It wasn't great.

But the weekend was fanatastic and pancakes for dinner and nature were involved.

Plus, Hannah, Madi and I made Easter dinner like real grown up adults.

Here's proof:

That weird-shaped cake thing is a colomba and it's covered in cocoa and that is a lot nastier than you would think. We did buy curly straws, thought so maybe the adult thing was a little too much.

And here's proof I can kinda make pancakes, which I kinda did the day before:

We did this really lame thing where we just put flowers all up in Erica's hair because we're 11 and NATURE and then we put them slightly more casually in mine.

Boboli Gardens is absolutely beautiful and we just layed in the grass for an hour remembering what seeing nature on a regular basis felt like.

Fun fact: Kim and Kanye got married here so if it's good enough for Yeezus, it's good enough for me. 5 out of 5 would recommend!

Thanks, Florence.
